WMRC Annual Report ::

The Waste Management and Research Center is a misleading name since they actually deal with preventing pollution through use of best practices and filtration systems before waste is ever produced. To highlight the positive environmental impact of the center, I used nature photographs taken at Meadowbrook park. Since WMRC is a state agency, it focuses its efforts in Illinois. Therefore the natural prairie at Meadowbrook was a perfect place for photographs.

For the page layout I used a loose two column grid structure. On each page, pictures, line rules, and background images are interspersed between the copy. These elements keep each page looking new, while the underlying grid structure ties the pages together. For the cover I used colored, textured paper to help offset the stark black and white interior.
