Collegiate Marketing Identity  ::

After purchasing a college bedloft supply company, the new owner came to me to create an new identity for the business. He set up Collegiate Marketing to be the parent company over the bedloft business and has since expanded Collegiate Marketing to encorporate fridges and futons as well.

The identity needed to communicate with their student audience, the colleges, and potential investors. Hip, modern, academic, and professional. It also needed a visual and typographic style that could be expanded to include new business ventures as the company grows.

The san-serif logotypes have a modern feel while the condensed, tall letters give it a slightly academic feel. The perspective and style of the logos help enhance the modern, hip feeling. The Bedloft logo was the first one I worked on. I probably drew over 100 little beds. I was pushing the limit with the graphic style of the final Bedloft logo. Now, seeing how we have expanded the style to the other logos, I'm glad we went with this one.
